The variation on a classic Boulevardier is similar to a Manhattan and a Negroni. The Campari gives the cocktail its signature red color and adds a bitter flavor. The addition of orange bitters adds citrus and more bitterness.

1 oz Rye Whiskey
1/2 oz Hennessy Cognac
3/4 oz Campari
3/4 oz Sweet Vermouth
1 Dash Orange Bitters
Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass filled with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a twist of lemon.
