Ingredients

1 ½ oz Rye Whiskey or Cognac
¼ oz Absinthe
1 Sugar Cube
3 Dashes Peychaud’s Bitters

Instructions

Rinse an old-fashioned glass with absinthe. To chill the glass, add ice.

Stir the remaining ingredients over ice. Discard the ice and excess absinthe from the glass, and strain the ingredients into the chilled glass. Add a lemon peel for garnish and serve neat or with ice.
