The Gibson is an easy to make, classic martini made with gin, dry vermouth and pickled onions. The recipe was first published in the 1908 book, The World’s Drinks And How To Mix Them by William Boothby.
2.5 oz Sipsmith London Dry Gin
0.5 oz Noilly Prat Dry Vermouth
2-3 Sable & Rosenfeld Tipsy Onions
Sipsmith gin has strong juniper and citrus notes and is made using ten botanicals. Coriander seed and angelica root give the gin its traditional London Dry profile and liquorice provides the sweetness.
Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with 2-3 pickled cocktail onions.
