After a few rounds of testing, I found the Chiaro Amaro blends well with Lillet Blanc and the citrus notes in Ampersand Gin.
Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass filled with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Top with crushed ice and garnish with a simple twist of lemon.
Released in early 2021, Chiaro Amaro is made with thirteen botanicals including lemon, star anise, and gentian.
For all the Negroni lovers in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, I highly recommend you pick up a bottle of Chiaro Amaro. My guess is the spirit will sell out quickly.
