This easy to make cocktail cherry recipe infuses Luxardo Aperitivo liqueur with fresh Rainier cherries purchased from the local farmer’s market.
Rainier cherries are yellow with a tinge of red. The cherries have thin skin and are sweeter with a lower acidity level than the more common dark red cherries.
Luxardo Aperitivo liqueur
1 quart of fresh Rainier cherries
16 oz Mason jar
Rinse and remove the pits from enough cherries to fill a sterilized 16 oz Mason jar. Fill the jar with Luxardo Aperitivo liqueur and seal. Store the cherries for at least 2 weeks in a dark cool place before opening, then keep them in the refrigerator for up to a month.
