Barrel-Aged Last Resort Cocktail Recipe

This variation on the Last Word combines barrel-aged Baba Yaga Absinthe, fresh lime juice, and pear brandy to make a very well balanced and refreshing cocktail.

Ingredients

2 oz Poire William
3/4 oz Fresh Lime Juice
3/4 oz Simple Syrup
1/4 oz Barrel-Aged Baba Yaga Absinthe
1 Egg White
3 Dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
Nutmeg for garnish

Instructions

Coat a chilled cocktail glass with the absinthe and save the excess for future drinks. To create lots of foam, shake the remaining ingredients without ice, then add ice and shake again. To finish, strain into the cocktail glass and garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.

Barrel-Aged Baba Yaga Absinthe

Produced by Arbutus Distillery, barrel-aged Baba Yaga Absinthe (56%) is a BC craft spirit made from traditional grand wormwood, anise, fennel, mint, and lemon balm.

After soaking in herbs and botanicals, the spirit is aged in charred new oak barrels.
